Note: We meet at the Redwood Glen area of Joaquin Miller Park, where Big Trees Trail intersects with Skyline Blvd. The pin on the linked map shows where to park.
From 580 or Hwy 13, simply follow the signs to Chabot Space and Science Center until you get to Skyline Blvd. When you see Roberts Park on your right, you are almost there. About 1/4 mile further down Skyline, you’ll see a dirt area beside the road on your left. Cars will be parked perpendicular to the road. Park there.
If you arrive at Chabot Space and Science Center, you’ve gone too far.
You’ll have to hike down Big Trees Trail for a short distance. We’ll be to the left of the trail, beyond the picnic tables. It’s a beautiful redwood glen. Bring a chair and be warned that it can be chilly down there.
